Set your membership price

Free, subscription, freemium, tiers or a one-time price.

Pricing is set per school, in the school’s settings. You choose the shape first and then fill in the numbers, and changing either never touches a member who has already joined — they keep the price and access they joined at.

The five shapes

  • Free — anyone can join, nobody is charged.
  • Subscription — one price, monthly or yearly, with an optional free trial.
  • Freemium — a free tier and a paid tier, so people can try before they pay.
  • Tiers — two to four named levels, each with its own price and its own access.
  • One-time — a single payment for lifetime access.

What a tier can unlock

  • Which tabs of your school it may open.
  • Which courses in your classroom it unlocks.
  • Which class types it may book — group, private or both.
  • Whether it may RSVP to your events.

Leave a tier’s access lists empty and it unlocks everything. A single-price school therefore needs no configuration at all.

Grandfathering is automatic and deliberate: if you raise your price tomorrow, everyone who joined before keeps the price they agreed to.

Currencies

A school prices in one of iSpeak’s supported currencies, chosen when the school is created. Card payments are collected in the currency your members can actually pay in.
