Levels and points

How points are earned, and what a level means.

1 min readLast updated 24 October 2026

Points and levels belong to one school’s community, not to iSpeak as a whole. Joining a second school starts you at that school’s level one, because each school decides what taking part is worth.

Earning points

  • Posting in the community feed.
  • Replying to someone, and being replied to.
  • Reacting to a post.
  • RSVPing to an event and attending.
  • Completing lessons in the classroom.

Levels

Each school lists the points needed for levels one to nine. Cross the threshold and your level in that school goes up, which is shown beside your name in its community.

Schools set a daily cap on community points, so a very active day does not distort the leaderboard.

Leaderboards

The school’s leaderboards rank members by points — overall, and over recent weeks. They are a way of noticing the people who keep a school alive, not a competition you have to win.

Your level and points are visible to other members of the school. You can hide your profile details in your settings without giving up your points.
