How membership payment works

What you are charged, when, and who takes the money.

A membership is a subscription to one school. iSpeak is the platform the school runs on, and it collects the payment on the school’s behalf — you do not pay the school and iSpeak separately.

What you are charged

  • The price of the tier you joined at, in the currency the school prices in.
  • Monthly or yearly, depending on what you chose.
  • Nothing at all while a free trial is running.

When you are charged

  • Immediately when you join, unless there is a trial.
  • On the same day each period after that, until you cancel.
  • If a payment fails, iSpeak retries and tells you; your access continues for a short grace period.

Your price is locked to what you agreed at the moment you joined. A school raising its price does not change what you pay.

Where to see it

Memberships & billing lists every school you pay for, its status, the price, and the date of the next charge. Payment history holds the receipts.

Open memberships & billing

iSpeak keeps a platform fee from each payment; the rest goes to the school. That split is between the school and iSpeak and does not change what you are charged.
