How payouts work
Getting your members’ money, on the bank or the Stripe rail.
When a member pays your school, iSpeak keeps its platform fee and the rest is yours. There are two ways that money reaches you, and a school is on one of them at a time.
Bank transfer — the default
- iSpeak collects the payment and sends you the balance by bank transfer.
- Works in any country, and does not depend on Stripe.
- Paid on the platform payout day once your balance reaches the minimum.
- You add your bank details once, in your school’s Payouts settings.
Stripe Connect
- Each payment goes straight to your own Stripe Express account.
- iSpeak keeps only its platform fee.
- Stripe pays out to your bank on its own schedule, which you manage in Stripe.
- Not available in every country.
Paid memberships stay locked until your payout details are complete and you have accepted the payout terms. The Pricing section tells you exactly which of those is still missing.
Your ledger
The ledger lists every credit, debit, payout and adjustment with a running balance. It is append-only: a correction is added as a new entry, never by editing an old one, so the history always says what actually happened.
Earnings and what is withdrawable
- Money is shown as pending until it is past its refund window.
- Once it clears it becomes available to withdraw.
- Money collected offline is shown badged but excluded, because iSpeak never received it.
