These Terms are the agreement between you and iSpeak when you use ispeaktm.com, the iSpeak apps and everything inside them. Please read them: they explain what you can do on iSpeak, what we promise, what we do not promise, and how payments, content and accounts work.
1. Who we are and what iSpeak is
iSpeak (ispeaktm.com) is operated by iSpeak, Bitarap Turkmenistan avenue 183, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan ("iSpeak", "we", "us"). You can reach us at support@ispeaktm.com.
iSpeak is a platform where education centres, teachers and school owners ("School Owners") run their own online schools ("Schools"), and learners ("Members") join the Schools they choose. Each School has its own community, courses, live classes, calendar, members and prices. iSpeak provides the platform, processes payments and sends notifications. The teaching, the content and the running of each School are the responsibility of its School Owner.
These Terms apply to everyone who uses iSpeak. If you own a School, the School Owner Terms also apply to you, and where the two differ for School matters, the School Owner Terms win.
2. Your account
- You need an account to join a School, post, message, book a class or pay. You can sign up with an e-mail address, a Google or Microsoft account, or Telegram.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account yourself. A learner under 16 may use iSpeak only through a School that has the permission of the learner's parent or guardian, and the parent or guardian is responsible for that use. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without such permission; tell us at support@ispeaktm.com if you believe we have.
- Give true information and keep it current. One person, one account. You are responsible for everything done with your account and for keeping your password, recovery key and linked devices safe.
- You can close your account at any time from Settings. Section 12 explains what happens then.
3. Joining a School
- Schools can be free or paid. A paid School shows its price next to the Join button before you pay. By joining a paid School you agree to pay that price, on the schedule shown (for example monthly), until you cancel.
- Everything inside a School is included in its membership unless the School sells a course or a tier separately, which is shown before you buy.
- Each School sets its own rules, categories and moderation. By joining you agree to follow that School's rules as well as these Terms. A School Owner may remove a Member who breaks them.
- A School Owner may change a School's price. If you are already a Member, you keep the price you joined at for as long as you stay, unless the Owner lowers it for everyone.
4. Payments, trials, refunds and cancellation
- Who you pay. When you pay by card, you pay iSpeak. iSpeak collects the payment on behalf of the School and passes the School its share. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Currencies. Card payments are made in US dollars or UAE dirhams. Some Schools in Turkmenistan show prices in manat and collect payment at the School itself ("offline payments"). Offline payments are made to the School, not to iSpeak, and the School is responsible for them.
- Subscriptions. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your memberships page; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
- Trials. A School may offer a free trial. Your card is saved when the trial starts and is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before. We remind you by e-mail before the first charge.
- Refunds. Refunds for a School membership or course are decided by the School Owner, who can refund you from the School's settings. Payments stay refundable for 14 days after they are made. If a School disappears or you were charged by mistake, write to support@ispeaktm.com and we will put it right.
- Promo codes. A promo code gives the discount shown at checkout and is subject to its own limits (how many times, for whom, until when). A code may not be sold, and we may cancel codes that are abused.
- Failed payments. If a renewal fails, we retry and tell you. If it keeps failing, your access to that School pauses until you update your card.
- Taxes. Prices may include or exclude taxes depending on where you are; the checkout shows the final amount before you confirm.
5. Your content
- You keep ownership of what you post: posts, comments, messages, uploads, recordings, course material.
- So that iSpeak can show your content to the people you share it with, you give iSpeak a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce and transmit it for the purpose of running the platform. This licence ends when you delete the content, except where others have already shared it inside a School or where we must keep it by law.
- You confirm that you have the right to post what you post. Do not post content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy.
- School content (courses, lessons, recordings, materials) belongs to the School Owner or its teachers. You may use it for your own learning while you are a Member. You may not copy, resell, record or redistribute it outside the School.
- If you believe content on iSpeak infringes your rights, write to support@ispeaktm.com with the link, a description of the right and your contact details. We remove infringing content and may close repeat infringers' accounts.
6. Rules of conduct
Do not use iSpeak to:
- harass, threaten, bully or discriminate against anyone;
- post content that is illegal, sexually explicit, violent, hateful or that promotes self-harm;
- impersonate another person, School or organisation, or claim an affiliation you do not have;
- send spam, unsolicited advertising or pyramid schemes, or collect other Members' data without consent;
- upload malware, probe or attack the platform, scrape it, or get around its security, rate limits or access rules;
- cheat the referral or promo-code programmes (for example by referring yourself);
- resell, share or lend your account or a School's content;
- break any law that applies to you.
We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules, with notice where we can. School Owners may do the same inside their Schools.
7. Messages and encryption
Private messages on iSpeak are end-to-end encrypted. They are encrypted on your device and decrypted on the reader's device; iSpeak cannot read them and cannot recover them for you. Your message keys live on your linked devices. If you lose every linked device and your recovery key, your earlier messages cannot be restored by anyone. Linking a new device is for your own account on another device; chatting with other people never requires it.
Because we cannot read messages, we cannot moderate them. If someone harasses you by message, block them and report them from the conversation; we act on reports using the information you give us.
8. AI features
iSpeak includes features that use artificial intelligence: speaking practice with an AI partner, an assistant that answers questions about the platform, a Telegram bot, and tools that help School Owners draft text. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate. Treat it as practice and help, not as a teacher's judgment or as professional advice. Voice recordings made in speaking practice are processed to give you feedback and are not shared with other Members. Section 6 of the Privacy Policy explains which providers process AI requests.
9. Referrals and affiliates
Members and Schools may share referral links. When someone signs up through your link and pays, you earn the share shown on the Affiliates page, for the period shown there, paid from iSpeak's platform fee. Referral credits can be withdrawn under the rules on that page, including the minimum amount. We check referrals for fraud and may cancel credits that come from self-referral, the same payment card, fake accounts or any abuse.
10. Our rights and limits
- We may change, add or remove features of iSpeak. We will not remove a paid feature from a current billing period without a refund of the unused part.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, is used for fraud, or creates risk for other users or for iSpeak. Where it is fair and lawful, we tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
- iSpeak and its content are provided "as is". We work hard to keep the platform available and secure, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any School, course or teacher will achieve a particular result for you.
- To the extent the law allows, iSpeak is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, for loss of data you could have backed up, or for content and conduct of Schools, Members or third parties. Where we are liable, our total liability for all claims in any twelve months is limited to the amounts you paid to iSpeak in those twelve months.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud.
11. Third-party services
iSpeak works with services we do not control: Stripe for payments, Telegram for the bot and notifications, Google and Microsoft for sign-in, video platforms for embedded lessons, and the AI providers listed in the Privacy Policy. Their own terms apply to your use of them. A School Owner may also add tracking pixels or integrations to their School; the School Owner is responsible for those.
12. Ending the agreement
- You can leave a School at any time. You can close your account at any time from Settings; your profile and personal data are deleted as described in the Privacy Policy, and content you posted inside Schools may remain visible there without your name unless you delete it first.
- We can end the agreement with you by closing your account under section 10. If we close your account without cause while you have a paid membership, we refund the unused part.
- Sections that by their nature should survive (content licence for already-shared content, limits of liability, disputes) survive the end of the agreement.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we give at least 14 days' notice by e-mail or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using iSpeak after that date, the new Terms apply. If you do not agree, close your account before that date.
14. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkmenistan. Before going to court, write to support@ispeaktm.com and we will try to resolve the matter with you within 30 days. Disputes that cannot be resolved go to the courts of Turkmenistan, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim at home.
15. Languages
These Terms are written in English and provided in Russian and Turkmen for convenience. If the versions differ, the English text is the legally binding one.
